PORTFOLIO
Here is a collection of client and personal work I've done since graduating university. Where possible I have included my process!
'Bluetit in the Rain'
Blender
I modelled, rigged and animated this in two days to display my progress in my knowledge of Blender!
'ACTIVE DESIGN'
For Sport England
Animation, Rigging
Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, DUIK Angela, Limber, Joysticks n Sliders
This is my most recent client video for which I was the rigging artist and one of the two animators on. This was my biggest video yet and the one that I'm proudest of!
'PRANCING PONY'
Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, DUIK Angela
This was my first experiment with DUIK Angela's 'OCO Metarig' feature. I used their base ungulate rig which was a cow and edited it to be more horse-like, then created a proud pony!
'Mononykus'
Procreate, After Effects, DUIK Angela
I made this video in 24 hours to celebrate the release of the second season of Prehistoric Planet! The Mononykus was my favourite dinosaur from the first series so I thought I'd recreate it's first appearance.
'TURKEY CHRISTMAS'
For Dead Ready Productions
Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, DUIK Angela
This was a Christmas Video that I was tasked with doing for Christmas 2022 and given a couple of weeks to complete from concept to finish. I started with a turkey as it's a very recognizable Christmas staple and easy to characterize, and thought I'd explore a wholesome idea of how turkeys might celebrate Christmas.
Below is an animation test I did to show the rig off to my superiors and to help pitch the idea. I thought a looping animation showing how turkeys might actually feel around the holidays was a good way to show off the limits of the rig.
'Space Mouse'
Dragon Frame 4, After Effects, DUIK Angela
This was an experimental animation I challenged myself to do in a week using a felt puppet I made. I wanted to see how well I could combine After Effects and a rigging program like DUIK with stop motion animation! The final result was achieved using Switch Templates for the head and Puppet Pins for the arms and body.
This is the Character Sheet, where I laid out and edited all the pieces I would need in the animation.
